RGT Enebro (tested as RW71608) is a new awned red winter wheat, suited to medium-long growing season environments in Southern Australia. It has potential for high yields in the medium and high rainfall zones.
The variety has an excellent disease resistance profile with high levels of resistance to leaf, stem and stripe rust. It also has very good resistance to Septoria tritici and powdery mildew.
With short stiff straw, harvest quality is good producing large bold grain with a high thousand grain weight.
